Bleuette was a doll with a porcelain head and composition body, made in France from 1905 through 1960. Unlike many porcelain dolls, Bleuette was made to be played with. Many patterns were made for clothing that girls could sew for their dolls; later, ready-to-wear clothing was also offered.
In recent years, Bleuette dolls have become popular collectables. Many doll artists also make beautiful reproduction Bleuettes.
