What is this BleueFantaisie thing?

BleueFantaisie E-zine is an on-line magazine (e-zine, web-zine) about Bleuette dolls. The e-zine has features about...

Wait a minute, what is a Bleuette?

Bleuette was a doll with a porcelain head and composition body, made in France from 1905 through 1960. Unlike many porcelain dolls, Bleuette was made to be played with. Many patterns were made for clothing that girls could sew for their dolls; later, ready-to-wear clothing was also offered.

In recent years, Bleuette dolls have become popular collectables. Many doll artists also make beautiful reproduction Bleuettes.

You were saying?

BleueFantaisie E-zine has articles about the history of Bleuette dolls, sewing clothes for Bleuette, dollhouses for Bleuettes, interviews with doll artists and doll owners (known as mamans, French for mommies), stories and pictures (lots of big, clear pictures) of Bleuette dolls at play, and more.

That sounds like fun. How do I read the e-zine?

BleueFantaisie E-zine is available to paid subscribers. Each month subscribers receive, by email, a user ID and password to access that month's issue. Previous issues remain available from our Archive, and passwords for previous issues can be ordered from there. If you would like to see a sample of BleueFantaisie E-zine before subscribing, the first issue, from March 2006 is available FREE.
